6 Reasons Why Sabrina Carpenter Has My Whole Heart

Sabrina Carpenter has been everywhere lately. She’s been making waves in the entertainment scene, from her ‘Short N Sweet’ tour to her stellar looks on the red carpet. I’ve known her since her Disney Channel days (Girl Meets World shoutout!) and her early music such as ‘Wild Side’ and ‘Thumbs’ were THE songs when I was 8. As I grew up, she grew up with me with her ‘Sue Me’ era, her ‘Fast Times’ debut, and then ‘because i liked a boy’ – but for some reason, it was her ‘Nonsense’ and ‘Espresso’ eras that really got me. I’m hooked. Everything she does, I love. I haven’t been able to connect with many other artists in my life in the way that I connect with her – her brand, personality and aesthetic resonate with me deeply. I’m quite literally in love with her, and let me tell you why!

While those videos are sometimes helpful, they often fail to consider how unrealistic it is for a person’s whole lifestyle to reflect one trend. I also fell victim to these videos and would cycle through different aesthetics that ultimately did not last.

In Ottawa’s SAW centre sits a tiny, old TV. The film Mattress City sparks to life on the screen, depicting a man lying on top of a sea of mattresses.
For artists Kika Thorne and Adrian Blackwell, the mattresses are a symbolic statement of protest against the Ontario Conservative government’s decision to cut 200 units of social housing in Toronto in the 90s. The choice directly impacted those experiencing housing insecurity.
Mattress City is the first artistic work in the Give Me Shelter exhibit...

On a chilly evening in Old Ottawa South, an eager crowd gathered to hear award-winning Canadian journalist Carol Off speak about her latest bestseller on Nov. 13.

How to Kick Your Seasonal Depression Out the Window!

With the darkness at our door at 4:30 pm now in Ottawa and the endless amounts of homework, assignments, quizzes and exams during the winter months, it’s difficult not to get buried under it all. I think not) that will kick that seasonal depression out the window.

5 Myths to Bust about Periods!

Many people believe that women can sync up on their periods if they are living in close quarters or are close friends, but this is actually false! A 2006 study documented Chinese women living in dorms together for over a year and found that even if they did happen to get their period at the same time, it was purely due to chance. Every woman’s cycle is different and unfortunately, we aren’t Bluetooth. False! The chances are slim, but they’re still there. While the likelihood of getting pregnant...
